Poland’s World Cup team for 2022 is anticipated to be announced in October, and manager Czeslaw Michniewicz has given some hints as to who would be in his squad for the Nations League games in September.

As a special measure brought in due to the COVID-19 pandemic, national managers were permitted to send 26 players to the 2017 European Championship for the first time at a major tournament.
As opposed to the customary 23-man teams, 26-player squads will now be used at the World Cup in Qatar.
The 2022 World Cup will take place in November and December, not June and July. It is simply not feasible to stage matches in Qatar at that time of year due to the extraordinary heat.
FIFA has informed all competing nations that they must name their squads by October 20, which is 30 days before the action gets under way. Czeslaw Michniewicz and his peers still have plenty of thinking time.
