Denmark will compete in its sixth World Cup in Qatar after making it to the Round of 16 in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. For the second time in history, it is competing in consecutive World Cups. Denmark last competed in back-to-back World Cups in the 1998 and 2002 tournaments.

After winning UEFA Group F, Denmark earned a spot in the FIFA World Cup 2022, where it will face Tunisia in its opening game. 

When Christian Eriksen of Denmark returns to his national team and scores goals against Serbia and the Netherlands in back-to-back games, all eyes will be on the player who suffered a heart arrest during a 2021 European Championship match against Finland. 

Stability in the backline will be provided by players like Simon Kjaer and Andres Christensen, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be a key player in the middle of the field and work to open up scoring opportunities for strikers like Martin Braithwaite, Jonas Wind, and Yussuf Poulsen.
